International Shaman Drum Ceremony By Grandmother Gayle Crosmaz - Black Bear
Grandmother Gayle has recently joined her family, as a new resident in the Highlands area. As a long time artist she is a welcomed addition to the gallery with her paintings and a sacred ceremonial drum. When not here in the Highlands of Ontario, she travels the world sharing her wisdom gleaned from 70 years of experiences here on earth. Over 300 of her painted sacred drums have found their place in 12 countries across North and South America, Europe and Australia. Her ceremonies are celebrated across the U.S.A., Europe, Iceland, and Greenland. On December 15th Grandmother Gayle will perform a sacred ceremony at the APFTA Gala. She will ring out the old year as we transmute many world challenges, and in transformation we welcome the new energies of peace. She will honour her Eastern European Ancestors by wearing the regalia they guided her to create, which is depicted in a painting in the gallery. As if magically stepping right out of the painting, she will perform with the Siberian Teardrop drum on display at the gallery. Her Siberian drum is offered in the gallery as a fund raising option toward Algonquin cultural initiatives. Two of her paintings in the gallery are offered as fund raisers for the Little Blue Cabins project and for the Turtle Guardians to aid in rescuing the turtles.
