Elders Teachings

Courage To Come Back

Chosen by the Wellness Centre in 2004, I represented the organization at the local board of education. I spoke in high schools throughout Northumberland County about the stigma of mental illness. Asked to sit on the Wellness Centre hospital board, I was a client representative and soon became their Chair of Public Relations. In this position, I organized wellness expos, mental health film night (to promote mental health week) and was appointed editor of the newsletter. The board of directors later nominated me for the “Courage to Come Back” award, which was designated by the “Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation” in Toronto. This award recognizes individuals who overcome mental illness and then proceed into the community to aid others experiencing the same hardships. I was later asked to speak about my journey to mental health for the Wellness Centre’s tenth anniversary picnic in Old Mill Park, Campbellford. Now I had to walk my talk. I no longer wanted to work behind the scenes anonymously.

Peace Pole - May Peace Prevail Upon The Earth

Picture
During the Art Festival I began a second project of a prayer mural. I invited children, seniors and everyone in-between to contribute to this artistic endeavour. Purchasing ceramic tiles of various greens and white and with a pattern drawn on the backboard we applied the pieces in prayer. The children were excite to be allowed to break the tiles with the hammer and to lather the mortar on the back and as they pressed it into placed said a prayer for the earth, for the creatures of the earth and for humankind.

Peace Pole – May Peace Prevail Upon The Earth

In 2010 I registered my intention with “The Peace Pole Project” and created a World Peace Pole for the ceremonies and celebrations for Summer Solstice. During the first phase of our event since I had not picked a location for its planting, we as a group signed the root or the base of the pole with our prayers and our names. Soon after I was hired as the art director for the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival, at the Buckhorn Community Centre. The festival had a long history stemming back 34 years and millions with love and joy in their hearts have walked upon the property. This was the perfect location so the next phase was celebrated in a coming together of a holistic show and ceremony. Peace poles are connected to each other and to the sacred site around the world.

I knew this in my heart and it was confirmed during the grand opening of the art festival. I asked our bagpipe player who opened the event to play for our pole since the writing was in one his languages. I had painted May Peace Prevail on Earth on the four sides of the pole honouring and healing the relationships between the four major groups in the surrounding area. The groups comprise; Anisinaabe – English – French – Gallic.
After he played his song he reached over to lay his hand upon the pole and say his own prayers. After which he told me in amazement that he was instantly transported to a ancient sacred rock site in the forest in Scotland the home of his birth.

Universal Message and Prayer for world peace, May Peace Prevail On Earth, was authored in 1955 by the late Masahisa Goi of Japan. In a moment of great inspiration and deep prayer, Mr. Goi awakened to the need to spread this Message and Prayer in the hearts of the global community for the attainment of inner and outer peace. The Peace Pole Project. World Peace Prayer and Flag Ceremony was created by Mrs. Saionji in 1983 as a global celebration of the oneness of humanity. The first Ceremony outside of Japan was held in Los Angeles, California - USA, in 1986 and since then, it has been presented to international audiences on every continent and in every prominent city throughout the world. Poles are now recognized as the most prominent international symbol and monument to peace. Peace Poles bear the message, May Peace Prevail On Earth in the languages of the world. It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 Peace Poles that have been dedicated in nearly every country on Earth.

        Stone-Age Tools Serpent Mounds

Gayle says many people have asked me how I gained my knowledge of who I am and my response is..... A ROCK!!!
During renovations to our home in Campbellford Ontario which is located on the Trent Canal system, was in ancient times the route taken to Serpent Mounds in Keene Ontario by the Serpent Mounds People of Ohio. When the first stone tool was placed in my hands after being dug up in our yard I had a flash back. Our home was built on the ancient river bed where the river once followed. In the flash back I remembered how the tools came to be buried in our yard. There was a canoe accident, and the stones fell to the river bottom and I died on that day. A fragment of my soul stayed behind with my sacred tools until thousands of years later I could retrieve them.

Since that time I have remembered many things, not only from that life time but also from the universe. I began seeing and visiting vortex seeing universe being birthed and so on. This was the big leap the big push thrusting me forward on my journey of remembering.

               World Peace Candle

This candle contains the flames and energy of three World Peace Candles. World Peace Flame from 5 continents. This is no ordinary flame. it is a living flame of hope! In July 1999 for the first time in history of mankind, living flames, lit by eminent peacemakers across the globe, were united to create the World Peace Flame. In an extraordinary show of goodwill and cooperation, military air forces and commercial airlines joined with hundreds of previously unconnected individuals to make this dream come true. This flame is a symbol of hope. it represents all continents, cultures and religions and its aim is to bring peace to every living being on earth.
The World Peace Flame was born of the five Millennium Flames of Hope. One flame came from North America, lit in a peace pipe ceremony by a Native American Elder in Canada; one was lit by Princess Irene of the Netherlands whose work is to focus public attention on Gaia; one was lit in Africa by Dr. Mahsukh Patel in the Rift Valley, in the room of the house in which he was born; one was lit in Australia by Aunty Pearl, an aboriginal elder who devoted her life to keeping a sacred fire burning and nourishing the teachings of her people; one was lit in India, by followers of Mahatma Gandhi, from the eternal flame that burns to ensure the memory of their teacher.
This flame was gifted to me/White Raven/ Gayle Ann Crosmaz by Dan Creely who I have been working with since the fall of 2015. You can read more about other work he does with Peace Ceremonies and Peace Fire at Northeastern Illinois University, in Chicago:

Fire Coal Bundles Around the World

Coal Bundle – Northeastern Illinois University NOWATEN DALE THOMAS – “The one who listens” was a member of the Kansas Potawatomi Prairie Band. At 39 years of age he was made a Kitchta – spiritual leader by his people. Nowaten was the keeper of the Misho Skodanse, the eternal sacred Fire of the Three Fires people. In November, 1995 he allowed the sacred Fire for the first time to be carried outside the village by Fire keepers Muk-ta-thē Bruce Hardwick and Mukwa O Day Duane Kinnart to an International gathering. In February 16, 1996, the Fire was carried to Northeastern Illinois University and lit for the first time at the 7th annual T.E.A.M. Conference. It has burned here ever since.
At first  Dale said was how the Fire was only for his people. A few years later he shifted his feelings and shared how he believed this Fire will be able to help the world, and it was time to be shared with all humanity.
He discussed the prophecies and that we are currently in the time of the 7th Fire which will lead to a time of the 8th Fire, a time of peace and prosperity for all of mankind. He shared how Fire is the one element that has been used by all cultures from the beginning of time. Our belief is this bundle represents not only a physical, but also a spiritual connection to the Sacred Fires that have burned for thousands and thousands of years. We believe these bundles represent the collective consciousness of all the participants who have ever gathered. It is our hope you will carry this Fire coal bundle with a sense of purpose, and an understanding that our thoughts, intentions, and actions, at this moment, do influence the next seven generations.
These coal bundles have been shared around the world for the last 27 years. The Journey of the Sacred Fire only lists a few Elders who I personally have been involved with, as there is a very long list to where these bundles have traveled around the world.
The list includes Angaangaq Angakkorsuag, an Elder, Teacher, Healer and shaman, who returned to Northeartern and lit the Sacred Fire using the traditions from his Eskimo-Kalaallit people of Greenland. Angaangaq was called by his people to bring home the sacred fire to Greenland. On July 2009 elders and spiritual leaders from all over the world made their way to an ancient site on the Top of the World, fulfilling a prophecy so old that on one knows the time. Jane Goodall stood next to him as he lit the fire. They both placed Fire bundles from Northeastern fire into that Sacred Fire. Two bundles gifted by Gayle Crosmaz-Brown were to Grandmother Jospehine Mandamin at Trent University. Josephine is the grandmother who had the vision and walked 1500 miles, for three months, on the original Anishinaabe migration route from Nova Scotia to Madeline Island carrying a copper bucket of water. And to Annie St. George, an Algonquin Elder who honours wearing the coal bundle as she opens many event in Algonquin Territory and sits as an advisor to the government and cultural projects.
Many fire coals were gifted to Gayle Crosmaz to share on her travels around the world, by Elder Dan Creely who she has been working with since the fall of 2015.

Nokomis Keewaydinoquay - Flame Stone Teachings

Nokomis Keewaydinoquay - Lake Michigan One of the Sprits guides who whispers in my ear and stands at my side is Grandmother Kee, the grandmother of a dear friend and Elder Dan Creely of Chicago. Dan and I have worked together on several spiritual projects. The fire coal bundles, The World Peace candles, and the think-tank study of ancient sites and pyramids. These stones were sent to me by Dan as guided by Spirit, I am sure it may have been his grandmother for she was here on this end when I received them. I was told I would know what to do with them. I am guided to share Grandmother Kee’s teachings with the world. The Blue Flame Stone Teachings I will shall share one teaching per day for seven days from the seven stones.

The Blue Flame Teaching Stones Purpose The Blue Flame Teaching Stones were created in order to echo a handful of the lessons that Nokomis Keewaydinoquay shared with her grandchildren during her lifetime. They are a reminder to us of those teachings she felt were central to the health of The People. Each stone represents a specific teaching and can be used in your quest to understand, embody, and fulfill the path of your Sun Trail. As Nokomis meant something different to every individual who had the great fortune of crossing paths with her in this life cycle, each teaching may be interpreted differently by each person who uses the stones. The main purpose of the stones is to remind us to honour those lessons given us by Nokomis and to help us keep focused on our own role within ensuring the on-going of The People.

How to Use the Blue Flame Stones: The Stones have been used in many ways. They have been gifted to others whom you feel are trying to find their way and can use the guidance that Nokomis gave us through her teachings. The Stones have also been used in prayer, when we are looking for answer’s to life’s “Big Questions” and this way can help us to get back to the roots of what we have been taught. The Stones have also been used as a personal physical reminder of the responsibility we each have as the carriers of the knowledge, and so can be kept as a way of reminding ourselves to do all that we can do to ensure that Nokomis’s teachings are not lost. They have been used as a teaching tool as well, to help others understand those lessons that are given to us. The Stones were created to honour Nokomis and to remind her grandchildren of the lessons she spent her life teaching. They are used with the utmost respect.

Forward For "Messages From The Ancestors"
                     From Angaangaq

Angaangaq is a shaman, traditional healer, storyteller and carrier of the Qilaut (winddrum), whose  family belongs to the traditional healers of the Far North from Kalaallit Nunaat, Greenland. His name means ‘The Man Who Looks Like His Uncle’. Since he was a child he was trained by his family- especially by his Grandmother Aanakasaa – for becoming a shaman. The spiritual task given by his mother is: “Melting the Ice in the Heart of Man”.
Angaangaq bridges the boundaries of cultures and faiths in people young and old. His work has taken him to over 70 countries around the world. He conducts circles, seminars and Aalaartiviit – traditional sweat lodges. His teachings are deeply rooted in the wisdom of the oral healing traditions of his people, which enabled people over thousands of years to survive in one of the harshest places on Earth.
Angaangaq is a Keynote-Speaker at international conferences about climate change, environment, spiritual and indigenous issues.
Gayle Allaq, my dear one, I feel so privileged to be the one to write a foreword on your book about Ancestors. As you know our people, the indigenous world in North America in that little part of the world called the Turtle Island, they say that our ancestors are like our roots, of a tree or any plant that put their roots in the earth. And every one of us goes really really deep, because we have a long ancestry. The health of the plant and the health of the flower depends on the roots of that plant. And when we see that incredible beauty shining in front of us of a blossoming flower, it is the proof of that plant is healthy to its core. We have lost that, as we did not understand the importance of that teaching when the new people came to our continent and we start to believe what they did. Those people who came to our land did not believe in ancestors and they did not honor the ancestors.
Remember you came to my land where my family have lived more than 5000 years, and the only land where people live and there has never been war. You saw the beauty of the land and the people who walk there. When you yourself walked there you probably noticed the peace within yourself, which means that according to my understanding of the teachings of my people is that you felt yourself deep rooted on that land.
I pray as people read your book that they will see their own beauty because then they will begin to clean the roots, carefully taking of the dirt of that plant. But because we live on this earth there will always be someone who’s not good in our family. You don’t blame that person of, you say thank you and then gently cut it off. Because they say that if that person who has not done good in my family remains there, gradually that persons energy will eat up the rest of the root. So therefor I pray that we will begin to understand deeper within ourselves the importance of our ancestors
I look forward to seeing you again and embrace you my dear, and remember you are the Allaq, the black bear the one who comes at night. The one who stands clearly in the sun, because you contrast both your energies, remember that? Feel my love and my gratitude that you are in my world.

Your’s Here! Forward now. On this path of growth, you’re not alone. You’re safe here in the comfort of an adventure… in an orbit of light and love. Gayle WILL take you through her orbit of many lives, and many cultures, having many markers of expansion.

My experience of this STORY is that of going into the forest, finding a huge old tree stump and brushing off the debris to inspect the circles revealed. From the first opening, you’re engaged. As she story tells in that classic audience diary reflection and resolution… polarity style, Gayle places the mirror facing your mind. You will capture an image of her struggle, and her move into expansion, acceptance, and enthused progression… continuously, rhythmically.

From the Mountains of Peru, to the softer rolling hills of Trent, in Ontario, you’re guided. Not (and so refreshing) told what to think or what to feel. This is a journey of how. How to see and dream in different emotions with different cultures, with different solutions in balanced grounded light.

There are entries about clearing, releasing DEEPER causations, inside our soul and outside in our relationships. By the 8th or 9th chapter, I felt motivated and marvelously equipped to maintain the expansion Gayle’s writings have given me.

I exclaim, proceed with centeredness, and savour. Go to the space in the words with patience and a broad view of the landscape there. Some aspects are of this plane and other facets are reflected from other realms. Your being here confirms, “You’re enough,” and ready. I AFFIRM that right now, we both will expand at our own pace AND I’ll meet you at the end of this book smiling, as you will be smiling from the love prevailing stories expanding what we will all have shared.
My Aloha to you Gayle, and foremost YOU! READER!

Finally, a moment of Gratitude to all in this and all planes… progressive in human evolution. Kalamai or Pardon, for anything presented here outside your comfort zone. For we shall all convene to a common mind when we embrace the paradox! Mahalo, thank you from the deepest place in my heart and the deepest place in yours. Special focus on the service of many lives in light to Gayle.
May we all know ourselves this way,

Harry Uhane Jim
Aloha: the breath of God is in our presence.

Positive Belief – Law of Attraction

There are many conflicting opinions regarding law of attraction, how it works or if it works.
The general concept simple states that you attract into your life what you think. Dominate thoughts, good and bad manifests your reality.

I later learned from the Masters of ancient wisdom that the course of action I followed worked in my benefit.
Therefore I can only describe the manner in which I used law of attraction for my family and myself.

First one must closely examine the motivation of their thoughts and ask them selves, “Are my intentions pure and for the highest good?”

Next one must have a strong belief that they deserve to receive that which they are attempting to manifest.”

Trust in the Universe and self to fulfill the desires requested is essential.
The final stage is to watch for opportunities, take action and then remain flexible to the outcome.

Lomilomi demonstration by Randy Morrow.

When I matched my vibration to that of Spirit and my Higher Self, I was finally able to recall issues buried deep within my core.
Mini video memories presented themselves each incased in a bubble.
This visualization had been my means of self-protection for over twenty years; a bubble was my protective shield.
I envisioned bubbles around each of my family members; I even visualized them around my vehicle if I felt vulnerable on the road.
As the demonstration continued, many traumatic life memories surfaced.
It seemed logical that my negative memories appeared encased within bubbles, as they had shielded me from each painful memory.

Synchronicity:

Even though it felt very familiar as I struck my drum, I did not know how to approach the Bodhran. I watched a short video on how to hold it, the tipper (drum stick) and how to strike the drum repeatedly and quickly. I showed my husband the video demonstrating the correct procedures for playing the Bodhran.
He laughed and said, “Good luck with that” as to his current knowledge I possessed no musical talents. As I clumsily hit the goat hide, it seemed I neither had the knack nor rhythm for the instrument.

Unexpectedly a tall red headed spirit guide approached me, appearing over my right shoulder. I had never met this particular guide before and therefore was surprised when he announced, “Daughter, I am here to help you remember how to play the drum.” The burly Viking-looking man, who introduced himself as my father, was named Org. He was from that Celtic lifetime when I was a female warrior and he had taught me how to drum. I felt his spiritual essence as it combined with my own. It filled me with the memories and emotions as I re-experienced my ride into combat thundering on my battle drum.

Within a couple of days I was rapidly striking the drum, creating visions and journeys. I travelled to other dimensions, lifetimes and vibrated into my Higher Consciousness. I had found the instrument to aid me into deep meditation and astral traveling. It was a healing tool that kept me grounded to Mother Earth.

The drum’s vibrations changed my resonance to match that of the earth, other worlds and dimensions. Where I traveled depended on where I needed to be at that time. I finally understood who I was and what I could accomplish. I had been opened to all new possibilities of growth with no holdbacks that barred my way. I discovered forgiveness of heart and soul. I determined just how freeing that felt. I no longer had the illusion of who I thought I was: a survivor of abuse. I accepted that I was in control of my life’s manifestations, my joy and my love.

I envisioned my soul before it became a physical body on this earth’s plane. I also imagined all those souls who have affected my present life (and/or past lifetimes), both positive and negative. This I have come to believe is a soul cluster, group or a community. These groups of souls interact on all planes: Upper World (The Universe or Collective Consciousness realm), Middle World (Earth-past, present and future realms) and Lower World (Spirit, guides and teachers realm).
Before any one of those souls is born into this Middle World, an arrangement is made between them. A classroom is set up and lessons are chosen. This is called Dharma, or duty. It is at this time a soul decides who its parents are going to be within the soul group, their name, when and where the birth takes place, and what physical body type they will posses.
The soul carries and embodies personality traits, passions and creativities that are all part of the souls essence. Along with chosen lessons for this life walk, Karma (or unfinished lessons from past lives that were not completed) is added to this life as well. Once the soul has chosen a lesson to experience (that it did not completely understand or heal from in a previous existence), it is repeated for as many lifetimes as it takes until one moves forward with clarity and understanding of all aspects of the assignments.

~ Thrown off the cliff of Emotions ~

One day a minor incident threw me off the cliff of stability.
Just when one believes they have mastered all the set backs….
Just when life is beginning to slowly open up to new possibilities….
Just when you think your heart is finally mending from all the loses over the years….
A small insignificant incident turns you into a vulnerable blubbering mess of tears and disillusion.
I guess what I am attempting to relay is, life will continue to send you into a spiral of defeat.
It is how you handle it that changes the outcome.

~ Shape Shifting ~

An alarming experience, which left me apprehensive, was during the summer of 2010 when my astral body began to shape-shift into a black panther. The panther or puma in Andean culture represented the physical world in which we live.

I discovered the reason for this near manifestation into a panther a year later while having a Lomilomi healing session with my Hawaiian friend and Kahuna, Harry Uhane Jim. Harry asked if I had any experiences with shape shifting to which I replied with a surprised and emphatic, “Yes!” He explained I was chosen in ancient Inca times (Inca was a name given the Andeans by the Spanish) for my ability to shape-shift.

Harry had seen a vision of a time when I sat at the side of royalty as a black panther giving guidance and protection. A further explanation was given by Harry, “Your recent experience occurred due to the fact the planets were in the same alignment as in the ancient times when you had completely shape shifted into that Black Panther.”

Profound similarities between the Andean cultural symbols and my own beliefs filled my mind with a whirlwind of questions. I felt “lessons for living a good life” was the main message of the Andean Wisdom Keeper I had just met.
By transmuting negative emotions into positive values, we balance and transform ourselves. The teachings remind humankind the ways positive values enable you to live a good life. It is necessary for survival that humanity attains a more loving and harmonious way of being.
Challenges of Awakening - Living Parables
Excerpt:

Typically, I can energetically leave my physical body merely by closing my eyes; using thought visualization, I can project myself to other locations, higher realms or past lives. In fact, departing from my physical existence has always been a safety net for escaping life’s grief and ordeals as leaving the material body is the soul’s way of protecting the innocence of the physical- form from being consciously affected by a trauma.
Traumatic experiences are stored away as unconscious memories; these unconscious memories are memories that cannot easily be accessed through the conscious mind.
Unconscious memory can be stored in the body as cellular memories; cellular memories can later be consciously accessed when it is emotionally safe for the person to do so.
The area of the body that stores the emotional pain or unconscious memory will react as constant physical pain and/or disease.
This, then, is a signal that past issues must be closely examined to heal the disease and/or pain.
An unconscious memory can include cellular memory from current life’s traumas, past-life experiences or parallel realities.

Cellular memory is the complete blueprint of our existence, including past, present, future and other dimensional memories. These memories can take several years of psychotherapy or an experienced energy healer/Shaman performing regression therapy to break through to the source. A tool like regression therapy is a form of guided meditation hypnosis allowing someone to travel back through time, either in their present lifetime or a past life.

Who Can I Trust? Inner Guiding Voice:

Even before I was spiritually aware of my healing journey, I offered a hopeful message to those suffering from mental illness. The inner voice of Spirit guided me on a path aiding others to find comfort. I felt it was essential to reach out, share my story and let others know that they were not alone in their pain. Disclosure of my abusive family helped release me from the belief that I was the only one who was debilitated by self-destructive emotions. For self-preservation from judgment within the small rural community where I grew up and resided, I reached out anonymously. I felt my family also needed to be protected from my shame. This was my reality at the time.
I did not trust family and strangers, men or women. I tried several times over the years to write my memoirs of incest and abuse, but my first attempt was instead made into a movie. Graham Woods wrote its screenplay and the movie was called, “Anne’s Story.” It was produced by CBC, released in Canada in 1983, and then re-released in the United States in 1984 and South Africa in 1985. Over two million people across Canada watched the trauma unfold. The movie subsequently aided others in Sexual Assault Centers across Canada. As the movie recounted my story of physical abuse, it enabled others to speak their truth thus beginning their own healing journeys.

For many years, I felt that my life’s purpose was to repeatedly tell my story. I subscribed to the notion that people wanted to hear the details of my abuse; there was much information that could not be communicated in the movie. So attached to the physical act of my experience, I defined who I was by my abuse. I was the survivor of a dreadful breach of trust as a child. This tragedy became the catalyst for sharing my pain and growth. Eventually, I realized that although I was helping others to begin their healing journeys, I could not heal on my own. Overcoming my childhood trauma required help from others too. Who could I trust?

Egos of Humankind:

Sitting in the church waiting for the funeral service to start, I squirmed and shuffled in my seat, wishing I did not have to be there. I was revisiting a traumatic past life event of being hung on a cross for my beliefs. I had lost faith in humanity, in community and in the after-life family. It was a family member of the past life who had given me up to the cross. I sat in the back pew reliving negative thoughts and emotions about the church. I did not believe in its hypocrisy teachings. I wanted to run.
Suddenly I heard Spirit speaking to me. “Overlook the egos of humankind and remember the intent.” I knew immediately what that statement meant; I was to keep in mind the initial purpose of church. They were to bring people closer to Spirit, to heal and to find courage and strength. I sat, slowly shaking my head from side to side, realizing that my confusion had momentarily been lifted. I accepted the possible truth. The true Spirit of the church was not what man had turned it into. I found a spiritual healing within the church that day. The powerful overwhelming healing white light filled my body and surrounded me on all sides. I was ready for whatever should come next.
This was going to be an unforgettable day!

~ Welcome Home Ancient One ~

We, as a group, decided to end the day with a hands-on healing session. Each of us took a turn on the treatment table while the remainder placed their hands on the “Receiver,” sending love and healing. When it became my turn to have a group-session experience, additional turning points in my life were initiated. I performed sound-chanting, which assisted me in journeying into a hypnotic trance. Sounding allowed the full flow of energy to permeate my body. As I achieved an alkaline state, I traveled to other realities and received messages from higher dimensions. While in the trance state, I witnessed the sunny room grow dark as the now familiar iridescent blue light filled the space. Energy practitioners began to glow blue as one by one a blue “Being” appeared and stood behind them. In unison, each blue “Being” stepped forward and entered the bodies of the healers in attendance. An authoritative presence flowed through the healers and filled me with powerful energy as the Beings began to communicate.
I heard them clearly transmit words into my consciousness, “Welcome home Ancient One, you have been on a long journey.” I was shown a vision of a green earth from an aerial view with one blank area that looked like a missing puzzle piece. It was then divulged that I was that missing piece of the puzzle. The message continued as the Beings instructed me, “Find the others and awaken them.” There was a mission to be accomplished, a mission unknown to me at the time. The “Others” I wondered? Who were the “Others” and what was our mission? An overwhelming realization came over me that I needed to meet a Wisdom Keeper of the South American knowledge. It was imperative I meet some of our southern neighbours.

In the end, I always intuitively knew I could accomplish anything. Whenever I trusted my abilities in overcoming all obstacles and listened to the guidance of the Universe, it always provided the appropriate opportunities for success.

Talent, creativity and common sense came so naturally to me that I did not realize it was unusual for most people to access inner perceptions, or that my innate skills and talents were unique. As a child I had a thirst for knowledge, especially that of a spiritual nature. I visited many different types of churches trying to understand what insights and information they each shared. I had a genuine aptitude for completing innumerable artistic endeavors without instruction or education.
Listening to academics discuss views on any given topic left me feeling as though I possessed an intense profound wisdom. Their conversations made me feel as though I had a deeper understanding than they; however, I was unsure exactly what that awareness was. I seemed to connect to something more philosophical beyond most human knowledge especially from an early age. Although I was not aware of the extent, scope or the exact nature of the information bubbling up inside of me, I did recognize its importance.
I had always had profound respect for life and humanity. I was determined to be the creative centre of my physical existence, and understood that I was completely responsible for my own actions and thoughts.

Excerpt from Wisdom of the Origins Gathering

The most important confirmation of my self-discovery journey in New Mexico was being treated as a peer at this prestigious gathering. Addressed as Grandmother Gayle I was accepted for the knowledge I brought to the event. We are all unique individuals filled with wisdom that must be shared safely and without judgment.
When I was asked at the conference what was the focus and purpose of revealing my life story in a memoir, I emphatically said “No more secrets!” Step forward and take back your power by allowing yourself the gift of vulnerability. It is through that directive that I take my place as a Rainbow Warrior.

I invite you to join me as I continue my journey of awakening, welcoming other Rainbow Warriors into this new dawn, this new era

Travel the Road:
It was many years after my valley experience before I began to really focus on communicating with Universal Spirit or Source. I quieted my mind and allowed visions, symbols, emotions and thoughts to randomly float through. This enabled me to move forward as I searched for answers. I incorporated a question or a desire for the benefit of self and/or for my family’s higher good. I then manifested a visual image. The Universe provided me with all necessary information I required and with the opportunities with which to take action. Throughout my entire life, as long as I believed in self, I was able to fulfill my hearts desires through visualization. One glaring picture I could not erase from my mind was the image of myself throughout ancient history as I aided others with their pain and suffering. I intensely felt that I was a Shaman: it was a deep- seated belief.

I was confused at my audacity of thinking that I was a Shaman. I did not have any training from the traditional healers of the modality. I did not appear to have been born into the lineage of Shaman masters. My conscious mind frequently recalled cellular memories of ancient times. I observed myself as a healer and a medicine person with extraordinary abilities. I saw images of myself throughout many indigenous cultures around the globe.

The word “Shaman” was always in the forefront of the memories. The first perception, which nagged at my mind, was that only the aboriginal peoples of the North America had the right to call themselves Shamans. I was unclear how I was able to achieve understandings that most of the population did not come by so easily or naturally. I had regained a lost soul-fragment as an ancient aboriginal healer, yet I felt was insufficient grounds to call myself a Shaman. I began to investigate healers and Shamans; I felt a need to understand. I found that throughout time there were Shamans, healers or medicine men and women in every culture around the world. The word Shaman itself originated in Siberia, which connected my Ukrainian/Mongolian and early Celtic genetic footprint.

Using my masculine warrior muscles, I continued to work, forcing the drum lacing to my will. I encased the drum hoop in an iron maiden type cage of sinew. Suddenly, I heard a crack as the hoop crumbled in my hands, it broke into three sections. Crying uncontrollably, I cut away the lacing and quickly began to glue and clamp the hoop back together. For some reason, it felt as though it were a life and death situation. I bound and secured the damaged drum in fearful anticipation of a dying Being.

I could have waited until I had grown calm, but something drove me to act quickly. I prayed as I tried to revive the Water Goddess drum, holding it and visualizing its survival through my brute strength. Exhausted from the 40 plus hours already spent on its creation, I decided to lay down for a meditative nap.

Pondering my foolishness, I was certain I had performed my tasks to perfection. Unable to drift off to sleep, Spirit finally revealed to me my folly. The first revelation that surfaced was the fact that the drum and I had a common near-death experience at birth.
The Water Goddess of the drum appeared with several internal messages. Introducing herself as “Drum Maiden,” she then spoke the words, “Use a gentle touch” in a clear and delicate voice.

A softened approach was required as she showed an image of me preparing fragile rawhide laces instead of the strong sinew. I now knew what must be done to save my sacred wisdom drum.

Taking the crystal in my hand, I did not expect anything special to happen. Yet, within a few moments, I found myself inside the crystal looking around at all the sights. I gazed at the horizontal striations on the walls of the crystal. The striations on the seed crystal were embedded with information like bar codes. The crystal walls began to shape-shift into a stupendous circular room lined with rows and rows of large books like it was an immense library. “Great Library” was the message I received. The many rows of books represented by the encoded markings were ancient “Original Knowledge.” Emanating from no particular source, the room glowed with an iridescent blue light. As I lifted my eyes toward the tall expansive ceiling, the columns of books seemed to stack one upon the other. I stared in disbelief at the apex of the ceiling at the top of the circular library. The ceiling roof of the library consisted of crystal, the identical shape and configuration as the Seed Crystal itself. The first sensation I received was that of a powerful group of “Beings” within that book-filled library. They were ready and waiting to align with the human mind, there was a sense of urgency.

As my gaze returned to the floor level of the library, I noticed a large table in the middle of the room. Its apparent use was for perusing books. I moved towards a nearby column of tall leather bonded books with golden untranslatable script. They were seemingly lit from within, glowing an iridescent blue. My fingers caressed the spine of a rather large manuscript as I reached my hand out to take a volume from the shelf. Knowledge from the document I touched, as well as all the books in the library, flowed through me. The energy in the book, consisting of a blue light, stimulated something deep inside me. I realized I did not have to remove the treasure from its resting place to obtain the secrets contained within. The ancient “Wisdom of Origins” came alive in me. Suddenly, I knew and understood everything, and yet nothing at the same time. The touch (like a password unlocks access to the information and files on a computer) awakened my inner wisdom and the Ancient Knowledge contained within me vibrated throughout the Universe.

Who was going to believe that I had awakened a treasure trove of illumination I wondered? Recovering from my astral visit to the ancient library, I opened my eyes in wonder and amazement. The questions, which swam in my mind, were: “Did I just see what I saw?” “Did I really experience and unlock ancient wisdom?” “Can this all be true or has my imagination gone too far?”

One of my favourite pastimes has always been investigating the history of an area we currently lived in. I invariably feel a need to know who walked before us. I strive to understand ancestral experiences in a community and how those ancient experiences affect present day occupants. My investigations into the local history of Comox Valley uncovered the indigenous “Legend of the Forbidden Plateau.”

According to the area museum, the ancient phenomenon was handed down through the ages by the way of storytelling. The legend described a tale of ancient times. There was a local indigenous village situated at the base of Mount Washington. They sent their women and children up to the plateau whenever there was an attack on the village from warring tribes.
After one particular battle from long ago, the men of the village proceeded to the mountain plateau to retrieve their family members. To their surprise and dismay, the entire group of women and children had completely disappeared. There was not a single sign of a battle or skirmish. No blood was found nor blade of grass disturbed, the search lasted until snowfall. When the snow fell it was blood red.

The women and children were never found nor heard from again. This occurrence left the remaining villagers forever fearful. They decided that the plateau was an evil place, which took their loved ones away from them. It was forbidden from that time forward to set foot on the plateau and they never returned to the mountaintop.

I often surmised what took place that day on the plateau in ancient times. I later wondered if the group from my vision was the same group on the Forbidden Plateau. I felt deep within my core that “we” were that group. Each time I revisited the ancient vision, I sensed that we had finally reached paradise. We were home. Our move to Comox Valley made the same impression, it felt like I had returned home.

Challenges of Wakening - Living Parables

Synchronicity:
Excerpt:
Even though it felt very familiar as I struck my drum, I did not know how to approach the Bodhran. I watched a short video on how to hold it, the tipper (drumstick) and how to strike the drum repeatedly and quickly. I had never met this guide before and therefore was surprised when he announced, “Daughter, I am here to help you remember how to play the drum.” The burly Viking-looking man, who introduced himself as my father, was named Org. He was from that Celtic lifetime when I was a female warrior and he had taught me how to drum. I felt his spiritual essence as it combined with my own. It filled me with the memories and emotions as I re-experienced my ride into combat thundering on my battle drum.
